About Us

Gary and Annette DeAngio started the Embroidery Shoppe in 1997. After working in manufacturing for 21 years, Gary became a displaced worker when his employer relocated. Gary helped to start an embroidery business for a friend and then decided to use his newly acquired experience to open up his own business. Annette was working as a social worker up until a year ago, when she decided to leave her job and work in the business full time.

Our experience in the fabric/sewing business goes back three generations with Annette’s grandparents beginning their business by peddling fabric in the streets of New York City, her parents later opened up a fabric store in Eastern Pennsylvania and today we have continued the garment tradition with The Embroidery Shoppe. Because of our history, we are confident that we offer quality workmanship at comparative prices.

The Embroidery Shoppe began as a small embroidery business catering to wholesale and contract businesses. Our business built up through word of mouth and repeat business and now our customer base consists of contractors, schools, community business colleges, and organizations, in addition to out of state customers. We feel much of our success is due to our philosophy of meeting the needs of the individual as well as large enough to meet any of your demands.

Business owners are finding that embroidering their logo on a garment is an effective and inexpensive way of advertising their business, creating a corporate look, and promoting company pride. We are able to offer expert craftsmanship at a reasonable price because we create our own in house digitizing and embroidery. We can make an ordinary item such as denim shirts, golf shirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc., into a uniquely distinctive statement for your business or organization.
